Executive member

Meredith is the Discipline Lead - Inclusive Educators and Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and Operational Lead – Education Pathways in Student Support Services.

Meredith has spent nearly 30 years in the department in various roles including administration, family day care, teaching and leadership. Meredith has worked across mainstream, specialised options and corporate positions in regional, remote and metropolitan locations.

She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from the classroom, within corporate roles and through completion of her Master of Education (Special Education) through Flinders University.

Having worked in Student Support Services for 17 years and the last 6 years as Statewide Discipline Lead, Meredith has a great understanding of the needs of educators and leaders across South Australia. Over this time, Meredith has developed relationships and partnerships that ensure that student and educator voice are heard to influence change in the way we support our students and families.

Meredith believes all children deserve the same educational opportunities and choice when determining their most appropriate education pathway. Special education and inclusion both have their place, and we need to create an education system that meets the needs of all our children, families, educators and leaders.
